"Race Across the Sahara"
The 2009 edition of the Erie All-City Marching Band will perform a show based on Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade in 2009. The show's music will be a soundtrack to a depiction of the famous Race Across the Sahara, which is an annual event in Africa.
The music from Scheherazade is a great way to feature the talents of our hornline, pit ensemble and drumline sections while putting much of the spotlight on the colorguard. Playing a classical program is no easy feat, but through planning and rehearsal, the show will be exciting and fun to play!
